Opsomai helps the press organizations with their multimedia diversification
- Objectives and challenges
For the past few years and while searching for new outlets, many newspapers have developed video documentaries and short programs to illustrate the press articles. These videos are broadcast on Internet, and we have two objectives to meet: the first objective is the rapidity of our service because these videos deal with the daily news and the second objective is accessibility, in terms of connected equipments and web platforms. Furthermore, since the journalists usually post these videos online themselves, the users interfaces must be easy to use.Our intervention
Since 2008, Opsomai has been developing professional solutions dedicated to the press industry. It takes only a few clicks to post documentaries online, either from the newspaper’s offices or directly from the documentary’s location. When sending the video, the journalist picks the different destinations: the newspaper’s video website, managed internally or by a contractor like Kewego ou Brightcove, but the journalist also sends the video to sharing websites such as You Tube or Daily Motion. Opsis Media then takes care of all the operations: video transcoding, metadata formatting and automatic sending to the different destinations.Résults
